FETCHLAB™ stands for The Facility for Education and Testing of Canine Hearing and Laboratory for Animal Bioacoustics. It was founded at the University of Cincinnati and a mobile lab was established here at the University of Northern Colorado. A third FETCHLAB™ operates at the University of Akron in Ohio.

Together we are a community of researchers, clinicians, and students who study Animal Audiology. At UNCO's FETCHLAB™, we are able to provide hearing testing for both dogs and horses of all ages and sizes. We utilize Brainstem Auditory Evoked Response (BAER) testing to perform our hearing test. This is very similar to hearing tests performed on human infants.
